From Mouni Roy to Ankita Lokhande: TV actors who are gearing up for their Bollywood debut in 2018

Bollywood sees fresh faces debuting every year. They set out with dreams and hopes to try their luck in the glamorous film industry. And these days, they undergo a lot of preparation and training, so that they can leave a mark with their first films.

There are some who hail from the respected film families, while some are completely new to this film industry. The year 2018 will see many new faces who have begin shooting for their new projects and are looking forward to their first releases.

Let’s take a look at some promising new faces:

1. Banita Sandhu:


She made her debut on a small screen in an ad, but she's still a fresh face for the big screen and that's precisely the reason why Banita Sandhu has been zeroed in for Shoojit Sircar's October.

Banita Sandhu will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the movie, which is slated to release in April, 2018. A day after the movie wrapped in Manali, the director had said: "I'm very happy with her performance as an actor," explaining why Banita is a perfect fit for the role. "When it comes to the genre of romance, it is always beautiful to see a fresh pairing," Mr Sircar had added

2. Mouni Roy:


This 'naagin' from the small screen is ready to slither her way into your hearts with Akshay Kumar's Gold. Talking about the movie, Mouni had said,"I have finished shooting for Gold and it has been an amazing experience. I am looking forward to August 15, 2018."

The movie is a biopic based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh Sr, who was on the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948.

3. Ankita Lokhande:


Ankita Lokhande, who rose to fame with the hit television show 'Pavitra Rishta' alongside former boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is all set to enter Bollywood. She will make her debut in Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. She will be essaying the role of Jhalkaribai, a soldier who rose through the ranks in Rani Laxmibai's army to become a prominent advisor.

4. Karan Tacker:


Besides TV hotties Mouni Roy and Ankita Lokhande foraying into Bollywood, there is another television actor who will be seen making his full-fledged film debut with a big banner. According to a report in a leading daily, Karan Tacker will be playing the negative role in 'Student of the Year 2' that stars Tiger Shroff in the lead role. However, the news is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
